I started as a YTS at Lunn Poly which is now known as Thomson Holidays (TUI) whilst studying at Aston University to obtain my NVQ qualifications in travel and tourism.
I then moved on to be a travel consultant at Thomas Cook trained in specialist flight sales where i stayed for the next 2 years.
After that i moved on to be senior travel consultant at The Travel Bureau, specialising in high quality tailor made holidays.
After 9 years I then moved to Kinver Travel Centre as a Senior Travel Consultant where i have been since 2007.

Travel is my passion. I love visiting different places and passing on my experiences to my customers – many of whom are now lifelong friends.
My favourite destination is New York – I love the vibe of the ‘city that never sleeps’ and standing on top of the Empire State Building – wow what a view!

I feel very privileged to work in an industry that I love, with over 35 year’s experience.
Having worked in most area’s of travel: for a Tour Operator- First Choice holidays. Airline- Air2000, Call Centre – Holiday Hypermarket and a High street agency -Thomas Cook and Coop Travel. Not only have I worked on the customer side of these businesses, but also within the Management team has a Training Manager, training colleagues in this wonderful industry.
I feel most at home when advising, guiding and helping my customers to build their most memorable holiday experiences.
Working within this fabulous industry has allowed me to fulfil my dreams by travelling to many wonderful destinations. If asked where was my favourite place was, I think I would struggle to answer. Here’s a few places I have visited: The Seychelles, Caribbean, USA, New Zealand, Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Turkey ….I’ve loved them all.

My experience is more on a practical level, having been on my travels for the last 55 years! But I do have some previous experience in the travel industry.
Being obviously of a mature age, I have returned to work as I so enjoy helping & advising clients on their travel requirements. As I’m especially acquainted with the needs of our more senior clients, but also with family needs having done many family holidays with my 3 children.
I particularly love cruising and have been on many Mediterranean, Canaries and Caribbean cruises with Cunard, P&O, Tui, Celebrity, and Ambassador.
Of all my holidays my favourite destinations are Corsica and Corfu, having visited them both many, many times. Having travelled extensively in Europe I also love Sicily, Seville, Lake Garda, Cinque Terre, Madeira, Tenerife, Costa Blanca (especially near Alicante area as I had house there) Ireland and the French ski resorts of Meribel and Morzine.
For me this isn’t just a job, it’s a total pleasure to discuss important issues of choosing the right holiday/experience, and reassuring as with us our client is totally looked after!
